Bakery & Food Display Cases
Your pastries sell themselves — when customers can actually see them.
A bakery display case is an acrylic enclosure designed to showcase baked goods, pastries, and prepared foods while keeping them protected from dust, handling, and contamination. Wetop Acrylic is a custom bakery display manufacturer working direct from our own Shenzhen plant — display cases, risers, trays, and shelving for bakeries, restaurants, buffets, candy and donut shops, and grab-and-go retail. Food-safe PMMA material. Shatter-resistant — no broken glass near your food. Easy to clean, unlike wood that absorbs grease. MOQ 100 pieces, samples in 3–5 days.

Why Bakeries and Restaurants Switch to Acrylic Displays
A bakery case has two jobs that pull against each other: keep hands and dust off the food, and keep every item visible enough to sell itself. Acrylic bakery display cases deliver the clarity of glass without the weight or the fragility — and no broken glass near food when a case gets knocked on a busy counter. As a commercial pastry display manufacturer cutting to order, we size every case to your counter dimensions in our own Shenzhen facility, so the spec you sign off on is the spec the machine runs.
Hygiene Demands
Health inspectors want non-porous surfaces. Acrylic doesn’t absorb grease, flour dust, or bacteria the way wood does — and it wipes clean in seconds.
Breakage Risk Near Food
Glass shatters into sharp fragments near food. Acrylic is virtually shatter-proof — critical in fast-paced kitchens where staff move fast with trays and racks.
Visibility Sells
A croissant behind foggy plastic or hidden inside a wooden cabinet doesn’t move. Clear acrylic puts every item on full display, driving impulse purchases.
Products for Bakery & Food Display
Food businesses typically combine three to five acrylic product types for a complete display setup. Using one bakery display case supplier for the whole counter keeps panel thickness, edge finish, and branding consistent across every piece instead of matching them after the fact.

Bakery Counter Display

Walk into any successful bakery and the display case is doing half the selling. A typical counter setup combines acrylic cases with tiered risers and sign holders. The case protects bread and cakes from dust. Risers inside the case create height variation — muffins on the top tier, cookies on the middle, sliced bread at the base. Sign holders sit at the front edge with pricing and daily special cards.
Counter dimensions, shelf spacing, and lid mechanism are fully custom — we manufacture to the millimeter. This three-product combination is the most common order we build for bakeries.
One thing the case-and-riser combination does not cover: a hero cake or a plated dessert that needs its own plate rather than a shelf. Those are specified as a set — plate diameter, column height, tier spacing — and live on our cake and dessert stand formats page.
Buffet & Catering Display

Buffet lines at hotels, conference centers, and catering events need food displays that are lightweight, easy to set up, and easy to break down. Acrylic risers create a tiered landscape across the buffet table — salads elevated above entrées, desserts stacked above appetizers. Acrylic serving trays for events and catering replace metal and ceramic for a cleaner, lighter look.
For branded catering, we UV-print logos and event names directly onto tray bottoms and riser surfaces. A cohesive, branded food display that packs flat for transport between events.
Grab-and-Go Retail

Convenience stores, coffee shops, and airport kiosks need displays that encourage self-service while keeping food protected. Small countertop cases with hinged or lift-off lids let customers pick up sandwiches, pastries, or packaged snacks without staff assistance. Clear acrylic means the products sell themselves — no need for a server to describe what’s behind a wooden door.
Where the kiosk has seating attached, the tabletop side of the order — tent, T-style, and slant-back holders for the printed menu and the QR card — runs on the same production window; see our tabletop menu holder formats.
For high-traffic locations, thicker panels handle daily wear without scratching or cracking. One of our US coffee chain clients reordered 80 more units after testing the first batch — every new store gets the same setup.
Candy, Dessert & Donut Retail Displays
A candy display, a donut display, and a dessert display are all countertop fixtures that hold confectionery or baked goods at eye level while keeping them covered between purchases. The manufacturing job is the same one we run for bakery cases — the same food-safe cast PMMA, cut and polished in the same Shenzhen plant — only the footprint and the height change. That means a candy store, a donut shop, and a dessert counter can order against one material spec. Each design counts separately against the 100-piece MOQ.
Candy Stores & Confectionery
A candy display stand earns its counter space by separating flavors without hiding any of them. Sloped-front bins, small lidded cases, and stepped risers let a candy store run twenty varieties across one counter and still keep each one covered. Scoop bins and gravity dispensers are a different build with their own chute and portion-gate geometry — those are specced in our acrylic candy dispenser guide. Everything merchandised on an open retail counter belongs on this page.
Donut Shops & Cafe Counters
A donut display wants a wide, shallow footprint. Donuts sit in a single layer, so extra depth only puts the back row out of reach while extra width puts more of the tray in front of the customer. Single-tier counter cases with a lift-off lid or a hinged front door are the standard build, sized to the gap beside the till rather than to a catalog size. Formats, panel thicknesses, and door options are laid out on our countertop display case page.
Dessert Counters & Patisserie
Dessert counters have to carry height. Slices, tarts, and cups read better when risers step them toward the customer than when they sit flat in a row, where the front item blocks everything behind it. We build the tiers and the covers to the same millimeter spec, so the risers nest inside the case instead of being sourced separately and forced to fit.

Production in 15–20 daysBakery Display Case FAQ
Is acrylic food-safe for bakery display cases?
Yes — for indirect food contact (display cases, sneeze guards, serving covers). The cast PMMA we use is food-contact safe per the supplier's material datasheet — it doesn't leach plasticisers, doesn't absorb odors, and won't harbor bacteria the way porous materials can. We can share the supplier's compliance documentation on request. Our bakery display cases are used by bakeries, restaurants, and hotel buffets across 25+ countries. Materials carry SGS and ROHS certifications. For direct prolonged food contact (e.g. plates), confirm with your local food authority before specifying.
How do you clean acrylic bakery displays?
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Acrylic does not absorb grease or sugar residue the way wood does, and it resists staining from food coloring. For stubborn spots, use a non-abrasive acrylic cleaner. Avoid ammonia-based products — they can cloud the surface over time.
Can acrylic bakery display cases be customized to fit my counter?
Every piece we build is custom. Specify your counter dimensions, shelf spacing, lid style, and branding — we manufacture to your exact specs. We handle sizes from small countertop pastry cases to full bakery wall displays. MOQ is 100 pieces, and samples ship in 3–5 days so you can test fit before committing to production.
How much do custom acrylic bakery display cases cost?
Pricing depends on size, quantity, lid mechanism, number of shelves or tiers, and whether you need printing or branding. A simple countertop bread display costs less than a multi-tier pastry case with hinged lids and UV-printed logos. Send us your specs — we respond within 24 hours with a detailed quote.
Why choose acrylic over glass for food displays?
Acrylic is 50% lighter than glass, virtually shatter-proof, and just as clear. In a bakery or kitchen environment where staff move fast and accidents happen, acrylic eliminates the safety risk of broken glass near food. It also costs less to ship and is easier to clean than glass.
What food-contact paperwork can you send for supplier onboarding?
We can share the supplier's material datasheet for the cast PMMA we build with, the SGS and ROHS certificates that cover the material, and our ISO 9001 certificate for the facility. That set is what most restaurant groups, hotel F&B teams, and grocery vendors ask for before they raise a first PO. Two things worth writing into your internal spec while you are at it: our cases are built for indirect food contact — display, covering, serving — and direct prolonged contact should be confirmed with your local food authority; and the cleaning routine that keeps the surfaces clear is mild soapy water with a soft cloth, never an ammonia-based cleaner, which belongs on the store-level cleaning sheet rather than in a drawer.
Do you quote landed cost, or only the factory price?
Both, if you ask for both. Our quotes default to FOB Shenzhen — the price at the port, before freight. Give us the delivery address and tell us whether the order should move by sea or air, and we will add a DDP figure that rolls freight, customs clearance, duties, and door delivery into a single number. Display cases and risers take up a lot of container space for what they weigh, so freight is a real line on a bakery order and it is better seen at quote stage than after the booking. Payment runs 30% deposit before production and 70% before shipment, by T/T, PayPal, or Western Union.
What should I look for in a custom bakery display manufacturer?
Three questions separate a manufacturer from a trading company that resells one. First, ask who actually cuts the acrylic — we run our own 5,000 m² ISO 9001-certified plant in Shenzhen with 65+ people on the floor, so a tolerance question gets answered by the person operating the machine instead of relayed to a third party. Second, ask for a production sample before the run. Ours ship in 3–5 days and are built on the same tooling as the order, not hand-finished to look better than what production will deliver. Third, ask what happens between your approval and the shipment: we inspect 100% of pieces, and production runs 15–20 days from sample sign-off. A commercial pastry display manufacturer that can't answer all three usually isn't the one building your order. MOQ is 100 pieces per design, quotes come back within 24 hours, and we've been manufacturing acrylic in the same facility since 2008.
Do you make candy, donut, and dessert displays, or only bakery cases?
All of them. A candy display stand, a donut display case, and a tiered dessert display are the same manufacturing job as a bakery case — the same food-safe cast PMMA, cut, polished, and assembled on the same line, just at different footprints and heights. Candy stores usually order sloped-front bins and small lidded cases in a run of matching sizes. Donut shops order wide single-tier counter cases sized to the gap beside the till. Dessert counters order tiered risers with covers so slices and cups step toward the customer. Each design counts separately against the 100-piece MOQ, so a mixed program of three formats is 300 pieces total, and all three can ship on one production run. Bulk scoop and gravity dispensers are a different build with their own chute and gate geometry — start with our acrylic candy dispenser guide, then use the multi-store gravity-bin production plan to map sampling, cleaning access, and acceptance checks.
Can I order a display setup for a brand-new bakery (risers + cases + trays + shelves all in one order)?
Absolutely. We handle multi-product orders when each design meets the 100-piece production MOQ. For example, 100 risers and 100 cases can ship as one coordinated program. We can standardize colors, finishes, and branding across the setup so everything looks cohesive on the bakery counter. Wall shelving is covered too; see our custom acrylic shelves, or browse all product categories.
